So I see you have stumble across my blog, while you are here please allow me to explain the reason for yet another review blog.
I love to read - hmm, how very obvious - but I don't know a lot of people who either read the same style of books I read or actually bother to ever read. This blog is my way of discussing books, from the absolute tragic romances to fully thought out intellectual sci-fi's.
So what do I read? Well, I enjoy ready a range of books, but mostly I like biographies. I read biographies sparingly as the raw relationship with the author can be trying. When I am not immersed in a Heart felt biography, I enjoy sad books. Let me explain, I enjoy complex dramas with endings that grip you, I an not always a fan of romantic books that end with ever growing love and affection - but I have been swayed. That being said, I adore trashy teen drama/romance - Don't judge me!!
What makes a good book? To me, a good book should grip me from the moment I pick it up. I want to feel what the character is feeling, be so gripped by ever page that minutes turn to hours without even the slightest concern. I prefer stand alone books but there are some series I have enjoyed - *cough* HarryPotter *cough*.
Do I have a reading buddy? Yes indeed I do. My fiance loves to curl up with me while i read, sometimes he will read or play games. I also have my beautiful Kitty who curls up in the winter - not so much in the summer.
Why do I think my opinion on books matters? Short answer, I don't. But I hate reading reviews of peoples generic hate/love for a character overrides every aspect that goes into making a book. I am by no means a writer - even though I would love to be - but I can appreciate the time and effort that goes into writing a novel or series.
What will my reviews cover? I will take into account they writing, both style and execution. Creativity of the overall story and how the plot as a whole flows. Characters, both flaws and advantages and their overall impact on the story, this will also cover any important relationships. Lastly, I will cover my overall feelings of the story, the pro's and con's and my recommendation after taking everything into account.
